Anne Keränen

Anne Keränen is Adjunct Professor of Responsible Leadership and Social Sustainability in Business

Anne Keränen gained her Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration (Accounting) at the University of Oulu in  1994.  From  1995 to 2011  she was employed as a human resources expert and manager in two different international high-technology firms,  Polar Electro and Elektrobit.

Keränen defended her doctoral dissertation in Management at Oulu Business School in 2015, after having studied responsible leadership. Since then she has worked as a university researcher at the business school. In 2023, she was nominated to Adjunct Professor of Responsible Leadership and Social Sustainability in Business at Oulu Business School.

Keränen is responsible for the Entrepreneurship Minor study package of the University of Oulu, as well represents the business school in the international Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI) network. She is a member of the executive education steering group at Oulu Business Shcool, and is responsible for the leadership study module of the executive education program.

Keränen has taken part in several joint research, development and innovation projects, both as a project manager and as an expert,  addressing responsibility and social sustainability.
