AACSB International (www.aacsb.edu) is the leading global association for advancing management education and Business School development. One central part of the activities is AACSB Accreditation, which is currently earned by 775 business schools across 52 countries (around 5% of the total number of business schools worldwide). These include Oulu Business School (OBS), currently the worlds northernmost AACSB accredited school that achieved the accreditation as the fourth school in the Nordic countries.
In contributing to the development of management education, AACSB arranges a multitude of events and seminars on current topics. As one example, Sauli Sohlo from OBS and Rihab Khalifa from UAEU (United Arab Emirates University) together facilitated the AoL (Assurance of Learning) Seminar 1 in Berlin, Germany. 47 participants from altogether 14 countries spent two days discussing, learning and innovating ways to improve student learning and the quality of education in Business Schools.
