Postdoctoral researchers and members of Martti Ahtisaari Institute, D.Sc. Marika Iivari and D.Sc. Anne Keränen, gave their adjunct professorship (docentship) demonstration lectures on March 14th.
Marika Iivari’s docentship is on Digitalization and business analytics. Her presentation gave an overview of what business analytics is, and how digitalization and data have contributed to the development of data-driven decision-making in various organizational and industrial contexts. Anne Keränen’s docentship is on Responsible leadership and social sustainability. Her presentation focused on what kind of leadership is called for when organizations engage in social sustainability activities. She concluded that a human orientation, thus focusing on people and relationships is needed in leadership to be sensitive to variety of responsibility and ethical issues which may arise from that engagement.
