Yi Tian starting her stay at the institute

Yi Tian, a researcher from the College of Management and Economics, Tianjin University, China started her one-year research stay at the institute.

Her research interests include marketing, customer experience, economic dynamics, bounded rationality an nonlinear systems under uncertain conditions. Her specific research during the visit involves multi-channel supply chains driven by consumer preferences.

Studies on multi-channel supply chains have become increasingly prevailing in supply chain management. The existence of different channels makes consumers choose a channel according to their own preferences and demands, which both increases suppliers' potential and improves supply chain efficiency. Furthermore, suppliers can make higher profits by controlling distribution and pricing directly.
