Timo Koivumäki nominated as Professor of Business Analytics

The University of Oulu has established recently an International Business Analytics Master’s program, offered jointly by the Oulu Business School and the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering of the university.

To strengthen the program, as well as the related research and stakeholder collaboration, the Oulu Business School recently opened a professor’s position (Associate Professor, tenure track) in Business Analytics for application.

Timo Koivumäki has been chosen to the position.  He is at present Adjunct Professor of Digital Business, with remarkable experience in scientific research, teaching, planning, and planning and implementing joint research projects. Earlier he has, among others, acted as a joint professor of Digital Service Business between the University of Oulu and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.  

His research interests include, for example, market and customer behavior analysis for decision making, and business ecosystems and logic in various domains, such as health care and wellbeing, energy, ICT and industrial production.
