Irina Atkova from Oulu Business School, who was one of the MAI IDSP grantees, has won the 2018 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in the category Management and Governance.
Her dissertation is titled From opportunity to business model—an entrepreneurial action perspective.
The dissertation was supervised by Adjuct professor Petri Ahokangas and reviewed by Professors Paul Timmers and Timo Pihkala. Her opponent in the thesis defense was Professor Lorenzo Massa.
