The joint two-year project “Enhancing Value Creation and Value Capture through Business Model Configuration: An Ecosystem Perspective” (ENHANCE) has got funding from the Academy of Sweden, and will start at the beginning of 2019.
The project aims at developing a research platform on the interface between SMEs' business models, entrepreneurship and internationalization, with an ecosystem view. It will advance knowledge on how value creation and capture of small and medium-size firms can be enhanced by business model configuration, scalability, adaptability and sustainability within the boundaries of particular ecosystems.
Best practices will be identified to disseminate and drive the ecosystem perspective. The main activities of the project will be workshops and brainstorming sessions. Doctoral students will be invited to participate, in addition to researchers and representatives of business development agencies and policy-making institutions.
The three participating universities of the project are the University of Oulu and the Lappeenranta University of Technology from Finland, the Halmstad University from Sweden and the Aalborg University from Denmark.
