The University of Oulu and the Shanghai University signed a collaboration agreement on innovation and entrepreneurship in 2014.
Last year the Shanghai University Nordic Innovation and Entrepreneurship hub was opened at Tellus Innovation Arena in Oulu, boosting collaboration with one of top Chinese multi-disciplinary universities with almost 40 000 students.
As a part of the collaboration, exchange of knowledge and experts will be promoted. At the beginning of December 2018 Petri Ahokangas of Martti Ahtisaari Institute will pay a visit to the Shanghai University, giving invited presentations and meeting different units and stakeholders of the university.
These include, among other, the SILC Business School and several other schools of the university, the Smart City Institute, the MBA Center and a number of local businesses.
Petri Ahokangas will also visit the Shanghai University of Science and Technology, with which a collaboration agreement is under preparation.
