EU’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions support researchers at all stages of their careers, as well as support cooperation between industry and academia and innovative training to enhance employability and career development.
The University of Oulu, Aalborg University, Halmstad University and the University of Glasgow have been accepted to run a joint EU Marie Curie funded Innovative Training Networks effort ”Legitimation of Newness and Its Impact on EU Agenda for Change”, LNETN. Several partner organizations from Scandinavia, Europe and USA will also participate.
The overall objective of LNETN is to address how to best interpret and respond to newness. Legitimation of newness and theory building relate directly to interpreting, understanding and communicating newness and its impact to inform decision making and implementation; application to new policies, institutions, industries, organizations, forms of organizing, practices, relationships, technologies.
LNETN will set up a unique, innovative, international, interdisciplinary research and training network in economics and social sciences, with applications in science, engineering, technology, health and humanities to provide a high quality quadruple-i (inter-disciplinary, inter-sectoral, inter-technology and international) research platform for the training of a new generation of innovative, entrepreneurial and creative early-stage researchers (ESRs). A new generation of ESRs will be trained with quadruple knowledge and skills and broad vision to maximize their sense-making, knowledge transformation and employability capacity. They will become future leaders in both academia and industry.
The leading partner of LNETN is Aalborg University, Nokia and Bittium are the partner organizations for the University of Oulu.
