Dr. Amal Abuzeinab from the De Montfort University, Leicester, UK, pays an Erasmus exchange visit at Martti Ahtisaari Institute and the Oulu School of Architecture, from April 10th to April 13th, in order to discuss about and plan joint research activities for an integrative approach to business models for built environments in the context of urban planning and smart cities and buildings.
The visit is hosted by Marika Iivari and Petri Ahokangas of Martti Ahtisaari Institute, as well as Sari Hirvonen-Kantola of the Oulu School of Architecture.
Dr. Amal Abuzeinab is a lecturer in architecture specialized in low passive energy design. Funded by EPSRC, she has awarded her PhD in 2015 from University of Salford. Her thesis title was “Implementing Green Business Models in the UK Construction Industry: Opportunities and Challenges”. She has MSc in Architecture from the Robert Gordon University and BSc Hons in Architecture from University of Khartoum, Sudan.
